About Us

The Keystone Bar Association (formerly known as the Harrisburg Black Attorneys Association) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the careers and community service of minority attorneys in Central Pennsylvania.

The KBA fulfills its goals by sponsoring the Justice Robert N.C. Nix, Jr. Scholarship, an award given to minority law students attending a Central Pennsylvania law school who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and potential for making a contribution to society and the legal profession.
The KBA also sponsors the Thurgood Marshall Fellowship, a three-year annual stipend awarded to minority law school graduates who choose to live and practice law in Central Pennsylvania.
